Bouyon producers: the architects of the sound

Modern bouyon is decided more and more in the studio. Behind every riddim that makes Gwada, Martinique or Paris dance, there is a producer who chose the tempo, the loop and the bass. Here are the ones Bouyon Shattaz follows.

The names Bouyon Shattaz follows

HYPNO and his Mauvais Plan at 160 bpm. Savion and his snippets of upcoming tracks. Denmath, from Saint-Martin, and his Tropical and Harley riddims. MB On The Track, who dances on his own productions and sells custom work. Smokiller, the home of bouyon remixes. Each one has their page on this site, in the artists section.

Why the producer became the star

The format changed: a riddim launches in a fifteen-second video, the producer dances on it, the audience demands the long version. The producer is no longer hidden behind the artist: they have become a face of the genre, with their own audience.
