Smokiller: the bouyon that remixes everything
Smokiller is the bouyon artist and producer project linked to Bouyon Shattaz. Its specialty: taking afro, pop, rap or R and B tracks and flipping them into bouyon versions, with the keyboards, the tempo and the energy of the genre born in Dominica.
Throw Dat (Bouyon 2026)
Among its productions, Throw Dat (Bouyon 2026) for the artist Klass Money shows the Smokiller method: keep the soul of the original track, and run it through the Dominican bouyon machine. The Smokiller.com site publishes its tracks as downloads, including the bouyon remix Heaven Baby.
The remix as a front door
The bouyon remix is a front door for audiences who do not know the genre yet: they arrive for a voice they love, they stay for the rhythm. It is a central strategy of Bouyon Shattaz to grow the bouyon audience. See the page bouyon remix.
