Alkpote: the Evry rapper behind Amour, Nautilus and LSDC

Published October 20, 2026

Alkpote is a French rapper, real name Atef Kahlaoui, born in Paris and raised in Evry, in the Pyramides district. He is not a bouyon artist, and this profile lends him no bouyon record: his place on this site rests on precise and verified credits. The OTOTOY store page for his Vie rapide project credits its opening track, “Intro putréfaction”, to Alkpote and to DJ Blax, the producer this site documents on its DJ Blax page. His 2023 album LSDC holds a record with Kai Du M, and his 2017 Marches de l empereur counts Niska among the guests. Behind those three threads, the file is that of a veteran of independent French rap: twenty years of records, from Unité 2 Feu to Néochrome, from L Empereur to Monument, Ogre and LSDC. This profile follows that catalog record by record, states exactly what the DJ Blax thread is worth, and flags the point where its sources contradict each other, the birth year.

Who Alkpote is: Atef Kahlaoui, Paris, Evry and the Emperor character

Alkpote is the stage name of Atef Kahlaoui. The biography published by Deezer and the French reference article agree on that full name, on a birth in Paris and on a youth in Evry, in Essonne, department 91, which runs through his whole catalog, from La Crème du 91 to his appearance on the 91 All Stars compilation in 2022. Wikipedia adds a birth in the 10th arrondissement of Paris and Tunisian origin, and places his childhood after a move to the Pyramides district of Evry. The young Atef was steered toward plumbing training at the Lycée Baudelaire in Evry, a path he left for rap.

On the birth year, the sources opened for this profile contradict each other, and this profile says so instead of choosing. Wikipedia and the PAN M 360 notice give February 3, 1981. The Deezer biography gives February 3, 1991. The day and the month match, the year differs by ten years. One internal clue leans one way without settling it: Wikipedia has him joining Unité 2 Feu in 1998 at 17, an age consistent with 1981 and impossible with 1991, when he would have been 7. This profile therefore holds 1981 as the year most consistent with the published chronology, while leaving the contradiction visible, since no civil record was consulted.

The name itself has a two step history. According to Deezer, at 15 he took the name Al K-Pote, which he later changed to Alkpote. Wikipedia reports his own explanation: a name found without looking for it, and a character, a kind of double that came out of his head. That character holds a title, and the title is claimed by the artist himself, never awarded by any institution: Alkpote proclaimed himself the Emperor, in the PAN M 360 formula, and that styling structures his discography, from L Empereur in 2008 to L Empereur contre-attaque, then the Marches de l empereur and, in 2026, the Ultimes Marches de l Empereur. Under this site rule, this profile cites it as a title the artist gives himself, not as an established rank.

His writing is the other documented signature. Deezer speaks of a rapper with voluntarily crude lyrics. Wikipedia notes the recurring criticism for his pornographic references and his vulgarity, and reports his defence: the hard words are part of the character, and what feeds him, he says, is his passion for rhyme. This profile neither reproduces his lyrics nor softens them: it holds the established fact, an assumed provocative style, built on systematic wordplay around the Al prefix, which his record titles display from L Empereur to Alk2000.

Unité 2 Feu and Néochrome: the start, from 1998 to L Empereur

The path starts in a group. In 1998, according to Wikipedia, Atef Kahlaoui joined the collective Unité 2 Feu at 17. Deezer confirms the group membership and names its album, Haine, Misère et Crasse, a title built as the antonym of Amour, Gloire et Beauté. Wikipedia dates that album to 2006 and credits it with success first in the Paris region, then across France. It is the first step: before the solo character, there is a group from the 91, and a first collective record.

The solo career starts the same year, 2006, on Néochrome. Deezer and Wikipedia agree: he joined the label solo in 2006, and released his first mixtape in November 2007, Sucez-moi avant l album, whose title already announces the tone of the character. The Néochrome label, a house of independent rap from the Paris region, remains his historic banner in the pages consulted, and the name returns in his lyrics as a badge of that era.

The first solo album, L Empereur, was released in 2008 according to Deezer. The tracklist published by Wikipedia counts 21 songs, among them “Alerte générale”, “Caillera mentalité” with Seth Gueko, “Le rap c est un peep-show” with Salif, “Chienneté musique” with LIM and “Souvenirs du bled” with Aketo, Kamelancien and Mohamed Lamine. The record installs the formula that never changes afterwards: rap from the Evry suburbs, guests from the same independent circuit, and a central character who crowns himself.

Two consolidation mixtapes follow, Alkpote et la Crème du 91 in 2009 and Alkpote et la Crème d Île 2 France in 2010, in the Deezer chronology. Their titles state the programme: the 91 on one side, the whole Ile de France on the other, and the word crème, which in his usage names the self proclaimed elite of his territory. By that stage Alkpote is an established name in independent French rap, with no radio format and no mainstream packaging, and it is exactly that durable outsider position that the rest of his career confirms.

Mixtapes and duo albums: from L Empereur contre-attaque to the 2017 Marches

The second album, L Empereur contre-attaque, was released on March 19, 2012 according to Wikipedia. Deezer holds two precise collaborations from it: “Double brochette” with Rim K and “Éternelle course poursuite” with Niro. The same year he took part in Neochrome Hall Stars Game with Seth Gueko and Zekwé Ramos, and Wikipedia reports that he then considered quitting, judging himself insufficiently recognised. He did not quit: the digitape Mazter Chef Muzik Volume 1 followed in June 2013, then the Orgasmixtape mixtape in April 2014, with a second volume on May 11, 2015.

The mid 2010s are, for him, the era of duo albums with a single producer, a format that tightens the sound. In January 2016, Ténébreuse Musique was released with Butter Bullets. On June 24, 2016, Sadisme et Perversion was released with DJ Weedim: fifteen tracks in the published list, among them “Pyramides”, which names his Evry district, and “Amsterdam City Gang”. Deezer presents those two projects as the two collaborative albums with DJ Weedim, and the formula extends into the following year.

On July 7, 2017, Les Marches de l empereur was released, again with DJ Weedim. Wikipedia lists Vald, Biffty, Iron Sy, MZ and Niska among the guests; Deezer names Leto, Vald and Niska. The name that matters for this site is Niska, an artist documented here for his SNEP certification with Litleboy LSBeats767 and Miimii KDS: before being a bouyon file by ricochet, Alkpote is a knot of French rap through which pass names this site follows through other doors. Between June and July 2017 he also opened the French concerts of Gucci Mane, according to Wikipedia.

On April 27, 2018, Inferno was released, presented by Wikipedia as his third album. Twelve tracks, among them “Trapézistes”, “Survet Noir”, the title track, “Écailles de poisson” and “Rachid Taha”. The record closes the decade of duo projects and mixtapes: what follows plays out in numbered solo albums, before a public that has followed him since Néochrome and that the platforms are starting to measure.

Monument, Ogre and LSDC: the solo albums and the featuring machine

Monument was released in 2019, with its songs dated November 8, 2019 for the “Digestif” audio supplied by Arista France, a Sony Music Entertainment France label. Sixteen tracks, and the guest list Deezer highlights states the change of scale: Philippe Katerine on “Amour”, Kaaris on “Nautilus”, Kalash Criminel on “Patek” and Roméo Elvis on “Jamais”. A rapper long kept away from polished formats there meets eccentric French chanson, hard rap from the 93, masked rap and the Belgian scene, without leaving his character.

Two 2019 episodes complete the portrait, and this profile gives them with their sources. On October 10, 2019 the video for “Monarchie Absolue”, by Bilal Hassani in duet with Alkpote, was released, a collaboration Wikipedia describes as surprising to the public, between a pop singer and a rapper known for crude lyrics; speaking to Europe 1, Bilal Hassani described him as someone very kind and professional, who had the boldness to accept where others would have refused. On November 8, 2019, Alkpote celebrated gaining his master cheesemaker diploma in the company of Philippe Katerine: Wikipedia even lists cheesemaker as an activity beside rapper. The crudest character in French rap is therefore also, verified fact, a qualified master cheesemaker.

Ogre, his fifth album in the Wikipedia count, was announced on June 7, 2021 for July 9, 2021. Nineteen tracks, among them “Que du buzz” with Bigflo et Oli, “Diana Ross” with Alonzo, “Dilemme” with Mister V and “Story étonnante” with Chily. In 2022 he took part in the 91 All Stars compilation with “Les Missiles arrivent”, according to Deezer: the veteran holds his place there in the department gathering of his own scene.

LSDC was released on February 3, 2023. The initials stand for Le Spectacle Doit Continuer, and Wikipedia states that the album was entirely produced by Tarik Azzouz. Fourteen tracks, and a guest list Deezer enumerates almost in full: Heuss l Enfoiré, Caballero and JeanJass, Naza, Elams and DEX, Ouss Wayne, Limsa d Aulnay, Jok Air, Luv Resval, Bosh, and Kai Du M. The tracklist published by Wikipedia names their shared record: “Chargé”, featuring Kai du M, spelled “Charge” without the accent in the Kai Du M profile on this site, which cites the same record from another source. It is the closest collaboration to this site network in the whole Alkpote catalog, and it is documented from both sides.

Vie rapide and the DJ Blax credit: what the page says, and what it does not

Now to the thread that brought this name into this site sweep. The digital store OTOTOY sells an Alkpote project titled Vie rapide, whose page, opened for this profile, lists seven tracks: “Intro putréfaction”, “Pharaon”, “Vieillasse”, “Technologie sèche”, “Sucepute”, “Noix de Saint-Jacques” and “Hennesy”. The first track is credited to two names: Alkpote and DJ Blax. The seventh credits Alkpote, Luv Resval and Savage Toddy. No date appears on the page consulted, and this profile assumes none.

What that page establishes is precise and limited. An Alkpote project on sale on a download platform credits DJ Blax on its opening track. The name DJ Blax is that of the producer this site documents on its DJ Blax page for his work in bouyon, alongside Tamillia notably. This profile therefore presents the credit exactly as the page gives it: a credit line shared between a French rapper and a producer followed by this site. It draws from it neither a joint album nor a genre lineage.

What the page does not establish must be said just as clearly. It does not state the exact role of each man on the track, composer, producer or performer; it does not date the project; and it does not make Alkpote a bouyon artist. No source consulted knows any bouyon, shatta or soca record by him. Bouyon soca, started in Dominica by Dada in 2003 according to the first hand testimony of Sean Smokiller Francis and popularized by Triple Kay, has its own history on this site; Alkpote enters it only through this credit line and through his collaborations with Kai Du M and Niska, two French rap names this site follows elsewhere.

The Luv Resval thread, by contrast, verifies twice. The same name appears among the LSDC guests in 2023 according to Deezer, on “Draps en sang” with Jok Air in the tracklist, and on “Hennesy”, the last track of Vie rapide according to OTOTOY. Two projects, two different platform pages, the same guest: that is the kind of quiet cross check this profile leans on, rather than on grand narratives. For the bouyon reader, the entry door remains the DJ Blax page, and Vie rapide reads as a document from the edge of the map, the trace of a network producer inside the catalog of a rapper who never left his own.

Réjouissances, the Ultimes Marches and the limits of the file

On May 22, 2025, Alkpote unveiled Réjouissances, produced by Pandrezz according to Wikipedia, which counts it as his seventh album and lists seven tracks, from “Petroville” to “Insanité”. The updated Deezer biography presents the same project as a solo EP: the two pages diverge on the format, album or EP, and this profile flags the divergence instead of hiding it. Seven short tracks, one named producer: the project fits both formats, and the platforms have not agreed.

What follows brings back the founding motif. On September 4, 2025, according to Wikipedia, he announced the final season of the Marches de l Empereur, whose first episode, Cypher, came out on September 26, 2025. The project was finally released as an album on February 13, 2026, Les Ultimes Marches de l Empereur, 17 tracks including five already released. The Deezer biography gives its widest guest list: Gims, Quavo and Gazo, named from the announcement, then Kaaris, Vald, Roi Heenok, Lesram, Ashe 22, ElGrandeToto, Vladimir Cauchemar and Todiefor. Wikipedia adds that he signed with Paolo Rotelli, called MC Pao, and his Tractopelle Musik label, and announced in the same move a joint album, Jugement dernier, released on May 6, 2026.

The limits of the file are stated as in every profile of this sweep. The birth year stays contested between 1981 and 1991 across the pages, with a chronological clue in favour of 1981. The Vie rapide project is not dated on the store page opened. No official social account was verified by direct opening for this profile: the only link carried in the structured data of this page is the Deezer artist page, opened during the research, and the alkpote.fr site, cited by Wikipedia, is not carried as a link for lack of an opening. The tracklists quoted come from Wikipedia when Deezer does not detail them, and only the records named by Deezer or by the OTOTOY page enter the structured data.

If a reader keeps only one listening path, here it is: “Amour” with Philippe Katerine, “Nautilus” with Kaaris and “Patek” with Kalash Criminel for Monument; “Double brochette” and “Éternelle course poursuite” for the early records beside the big names of French rap; “Chargé” with Kai Du M for LSDC; and “Intro putréfaction”, the track shared with DJ Blax, for the thread that links this catalog to this site. The rest of the context is read on our bouyon soca page and in our bouyon playlist, where Alkpote, quite logically, does not appear as a bouyon artist.

Frequently asked questions

Who is Alkpote?

Alkpote is the stage name of Atef Kahlaoui, a French rapper born in Paris and raised in Evry, in the Pyramides district. A member of Unite 2 Feu, he went solo on Neochrome in 2006 and built an independent rap catalog, from L Empereur in 2008 to LSDC in 2023 and Rejouissances in 2025. Wikipedia and PAN M 360 give his birth as February 3, 1981, the Deezer biography as February 3, 1991: this profile flags the contradiction.

Is Alkpote a bouyon artist?

No. No source consulted knows any bouyon, shatta or soca record by him, and his documented genre is French hip hop. His presence on this site rests on credits: DJ Blax is credited on the opening track of his Vie rapide project, Kai Du M sings with him on LSDC in 2023, and Niska appears among the guests of his Marches de l empereur in 2017.

What is the link between Alkpote and DJ Blax?

A shared credit, documented by a store page. The OTOTOY page of the Alkpote project Vie rapide lists seven tracks and credits the first one, Intro putrefaction, to Alkpote and DJ Blax. The page states neither the date of the project nor the exact role of each man. DJ Blax is the producer documented on this site for his bouyon work, and this profile draws from that line neither a joint album nor a genre link.

What are the main Alkpote albums?

L Empereur in 2008, L Empereur contre-attaque on March 19, 2012, Sadisme et Perversion with DJ Weedim on June 24, 2016, Les Marches de l empereur on July 7, 2017, Inferno on April 27, 2018, Monument in 2019, Ogre on July 9, 2021, LSDC on February 3, 2023, Rejouissances on May 22, 2025 and Les Ultimes Marches de l Empereur on February 13, 2026. The mixtapes stand beside them, from Sucez-moi avant l album in 2007 to the two Orgasmixtape volumes of 2014 and 2015.

Why is Alkpote called the Emperor?

Because he proclaimed himself the Emperor, in the PAN M 360 formula. The title structures his discography: L Empereur, L Empereur contre-attaque, Les Marches de l empereur, then Les Ultimes Marches de l Empereur in 2026. It is a title the artist gives himself, and this profile cites it as such, under its rule of never presenting artist crowns as established facts.

Where should I start listening to Alkpote?

With Monument: Amour with Philippe Katerine, Nautilus with Kaaris, Patek with Kalash Criminel and Jamais with Romeo Elvis, all named by Deezer. Then with Charge with Kai Du M on LSDC, with Double brochette with Rim K and Eternelle course poursuite with Niro, and with Intro putrefaction, the Vie rapide track also credited to DJ Blax. Our bouyon playlist stays devoted to bouyon: Alkpote is heard here as a neighbouring file, not as an artist of the genre.
