Poyzin: a feature voice at the heart of the Dominican new wave
Published October 20, 2026
Poyzin is a voice, and this profile starts by saying exactly what is known about her: two records, both as a feature, both in the Dominican bouyon of 2025. The first is solid and fully documented, “Rum”, by Trixzmigos with Hussey and Poyzin, released on February 7, 2025 on LTG RECORDS, where she is credited on vocals and on writing. The second is a YouTube video, “Shift Her Panty”, by Ras B featuring Poyzin, with no streaming listing found. No solo release, no artist page and no biography were found during this research. This profile therefore publishes a short and clean file: the two credits line by line, the network they draw, the possible confusion with a Sweet PoyZin of a neighbouring name, and the namesakes that pollute every search for this name.
Two records, no solo: the state of the file
The inventory fits in two lines, and it has to be looked at squarely. Line one: “Rum”, a Trixzmigos single, February 7, 2025, LTG RECORDS, in English, 160 BPM, with Poyzin credited on vocals alongside the group and Hussey, and credited among the writers of the record. Line two: “Shift Her Panty”, a video published on YouTube under the title “Ras B ft Poyzin - Shift Her Panty ( #bouyon )”, where Poyzin is the named guest of the Dominican singer Ras B. Two lines, two different houses of the same small scene, and nothing else verified: no lead name record, no EP, no artist page on the opened platforms, no interview, no confirmed official account.
That kind of file is common for the guest voices of current bouyon, and it says something about the genre itself. Singles bouyon works through studio collectives: a core group, a producer, and voices that come in for one record, sometimes a single one, before stepping back out. Some of those voices become lead names, others stay as credits. Poyzin is, to date, a credit. But it is a credit placed on a record that counts, “Rum”, listed among the most streamed songs of Trixzmigos on Shazam, right in the wake of “What She Like”, the biggest record of the group. A guest voice on the second floor of the catalog of a group that was a finalist at the Dominica Music Awards 2025 is not nothing, and it is exactly why this name deserves its own page rather than a line lost inside the group profile.
The place given in this page title is the place of the two records, not a certified origin of the singer. “Rum” belongs to the Dominican catalog of Trixzmigos, on LTG RECORDS. Ras B is a Dominican artist of the new wave, presented by the island press under his name Bayna Bellot among the voices of the Trilla-G Up Next Cypher. No source consulted says where Poyzin herself comes from, and this profile does not guess it: it names the scene of the records, Dominica, and leaves the rest open.
“Rum”: the full credit, voice and writing
The “Rum” page, opened on Shazam, is the central document of the file, and it is remarkably complete. The record was released on February 7, 2025 on LTG RECORDS, in English, at 160 BPM, and showed 120 Shazam identifications when the page was opened. The performers are credited “Trixz Migos Hussey Poyzin” at the Vocals post: Poyzin is therefore not a decorative name on the cover, she sings on the record, at the same post as the group and as Hussey, the recurring guest voice of Trixzmigos.
The same page also credits her with writing, and that is the most precious detail of the file. The writers of “Rum” are listed in four names: Alexander Tafari Darroux, Kymone Hussey 6ix, Chrissie lewis Apple, and “Poyzin Nina corriette”, in the exact spelling of the platform, with a lower case c on corriette. The form of the credit follows the model of the other names in the list, where the stage name sits next to fuller name elements, as with “Kymone Hussey 6ix” for Hussey. This profile reproduces the string as it stands, without turning it into a civil identity: no other source confirms the identity behind Poyzin, and the name Nina Corriette appears nowhere else in the searches carried out. It is published here as what it is, a writer credit attached to the name Poyzin on “Rum”, nothing more, nothing less.
The production of “Rum” is signed Kwib La Beats, and that name links the record to the rest of the scene of the moment. Kwib La Beats, the working name of Shane Massicott according to the Dominican press, is also the producer of the Trilla-G Up Next Cypher Vol. 1, the project that presented Ras B to the island public in the autumn of 2026. The two known Poyzin records therefore touch each other through the workshop: on one side Trixzmigos and their producer Kwib La Beats, on the other Ras B, a voice of the same rising generation. That is not proof of a shared path, it is a fact of credits, and it places Poyzin at the centre of the small studio network that builds the new Dominican bouyon, between Roseau and the platforms.
“Shift Her Panty”: the Ras B record, and what cannot be said about it
The second known record takes Poyzin to another singer. On YouTube, a video titled “Ras B ft Poyzin - Shift Her Panty ( #bouyon )” presents the record as a pairing where Ras B holds the lead name and Poyzin the feature, with the word bouyon as a keyword of the title. It is, to date, the only public trace found of this record: no song page was found on the streaming platforms consulted, no release date, no label, no writing or production credits, and the video page itself returned no usable description when it was opened. This profile therefore enters “Shift Her Panty” in the file as a record attested by its video title, with everything that attestation leaves limited.
The partner of the record, though, is documented. Ras B, whose name is Bayna Bellot, is one of the emerging artists gathered by Trilla-G in his Up Next Cypher Vol. 1, released through Still Trill Entertainment and covered by the Dominican music press in October 2026, alongside G’z Up, Don Lash, Pa Pel, Avatar Omish and Pryhmex. The cypher presents itself as a platform for the next bouyon generation of the island, produced by Kwib La Beats and mixed by ThaWizZarD. That Poyzin sings as a guest for a voice of that generation confirms her anchoring: she circulates in the Dominican new wave of 2025 and 2026, with Trixzmigos first, with Ras B next, without ever carrying a record alone in the archives consulted.
It also has to be said what “Shift Her Panty” does not allow to be claimed. Without a platform page, nobody knows whether the record had a commercial release, whether it is an official audio, a visual or a record that stayed at the video stage, nor on which date it was put online. Quick profiles that copy YouTube titles as discographies turn that kind of trace into a publishing fact: this site does not. If a Shazam, Deezer or Spotify page for the record appears, with its credits, this profile will be completed and the section rewritten with publishing facts instead of title facts.
Poyzin and Sweet PoyZin: two neighbouring names, no proven link
Every search for Poyzin runs into a neighbouring name that has to be dealt with head on: Sweet PoyZin. Under that name, spelled with a capital S on Sweet and a capital Z in the middle, a record titled “Without You (Women Response)” appears, featuring Shyanne, Carlyn XP, Ebony Empress and Starsha, a women response record carried by a lead artist named Sweet PoyZin. The Carlyn XP artist page on Shazam ranks that record among her most streamed songs, which gives the neighbouring name a real visibility in the same Dominican ecosystem of women voices in bouyon and soca.
Are Poyzin and Sweet PoyZin the same person? The elements to say so do not exist in the sources consulted. The two names are never credited together, no page cross references one to the other, and the billings are of different form: Poyzin appears only as a guest, on “Rum” and “Shift Her Panty”, while Sweet PoyZin appears as lead artist of a collective record. The resemblance of the names could come from one nickname root, from a coincidence, or from one person under two forms, three hypotheses that no document separates. This profile therefore makes the opposite choice to the aggregators: it does not merge the two names, it does not attribute “Without You (Women Response)” to Poyzin, and it leaves the question standing, in plain view, for the reader who will meet both spellings.
The noise around the name goes further, and it explains the frequent errors of automatic databases. Poyzyn, with a final y, is the title of an underground hip hop video by ENOKH XMORTIZ, on Acid Kult Muzick, with no relation to bouyon at all. Poizine, with an e, is a Mexem song released in 1993 on Mangrove Productions. Poyzin is also a player name in online game rankings. None of those namesakes has a documented link with the singer of “Rum”, and this profile cites them for one reason only: to show that the name, typed as it stands, returns four different worlds, and that only the “Rum” page and the “Shift Her Panty” title speak of the voice in this file.
A voice of the collective method, and the limits of the public record
Placed back in its context, the trace of Poyzin illustrates the current making of Dominican bouyon. The genre, born in Dominica at the end of the 1980s, now lives on studio singles at 160 BPM, written by several hands, where guest voices are a raw material. Bouyon soca, started by Dada in 2003 in Dominica according to the first hand testimony of Sean “Smokiller” Francis and popularized by Triple Kay, durably installed that collective and fast record format. “Rum” is a complete specimen of it: a group, three credited voices, four writers, a named producer, a local label, LTG RECORDS. Poyzin holds two posts on it, voice and writing, which separates her from simple appearances: she takes part in the record, she does not just pass over it.
The limits of the file are clear, and this profile states them as it states the facts. No confirmed civil name, the writer credit string “Poyzin Nina corriette” remaining a piece of metadata without outside confirmation. No place of origin, no age, no career path. No solo release found, no artist page, no verified official account: the structured data of this page therefore links no social profile, and the track list is limited to the two attested recordings. No listening figures of her own either, the only counter counted being that of “Rum” on Shazam, 120 identifications, which measures the group record and not the guest voice.
What comes next in the file will depend on future credits. A lead name record, a second invitation from a group of the wave, or a publisher listing naming Poyzin in another way, and this profile will change nature. In the meantime, listening starts with “Rum”, on our Trixzmigos page for the group context and on the Hussey page for the voice that shares the record with her, continues with “Shift Her Panty” with Ras B, and is placed back in the full wave through our bouyon playlist and our bouyon soca page. Thin file, clean file: that is the rule of this site for voices that do not yet have a catalog of their own.

Frequently asked questions
Who is Poyzin?
A singer known only through two feature credits in Dominican bouyon. She sings and co writes “Rum”, by Trixzmigos with Hussey, released on February 7, 2025 on LTG RECORDS, and she is the named guest of “Shift Her Panty”, the Ras B record published as a video on YouTube. No source consulted gives her biography, her place or a solo record.
On which records does Poyzin sing?
Two attested records. “Rum”, by Trixzmigos, where the Shazam page credits her on vocals with the group and Hussey, and among the writers. And “Shift Her Panty”, by Ras B featuring Poyzin, attested by the title of its YouTube video, with no streaming listing found during this research.
Did Poyzin write “Rum”?
The song page on Shazam credits her among the four writers, in the exact form “Poyzin Nina corriette”, alongside Alexander Tafari Darroux, Kymone Hussey 6ix and Chrissie lewis Apple. The production of the record is signed Kwib La Beats. No other source confirms the identity behind that writer credit, and this profile publishes it as a credit, not as a civil identity.
Are Poyzin and Sweet PoyZin the same artist?
No source consulted says so. Sweet PoyZin, a different spelling, is the lead artist of “Without You (Women Response)”, featuring Shyanne, Carlyn XP, Ebony Empress and Starsha. Poyzin, for her part, appears only as a guest, on “Rum” and “Shift Her Panty”. The two names are credited together nowhere, and this profile does not merge them.
Has Poyzin released a solo record?
No lead name record was found during this research, no single, no EP and no artist page on the platforms consulted. Her public file is limited to the two features of 2025, with Trixzmigos and with Ras B. If a solo record appears, this profile will be completed and dated.
Where can I hear Poyzin?
On “Rum”, by Trixzmigos with Hussey, available on the platforms and followed in our bouyon playlist, and on the Ras B “Shift Her Panty” video on YouTube. The context is read on our Trixzmigos, Hussey and Ras B pages.
